My brother had a beautiful one back in the 70’s

I have one that my brother bought brand new and it looks just like this one, even has the same drag pipes on it Mine has 35K miles on it. Looking to sell because I never ride it. Drained the tank and carb about 15 years ago when the battery died. Very good condition, true survivor bike, every thing stock except for the drag pipes. Have original paperwork too. Not sure what to ask for it. Someone needs to enjoy it, been covered in the garage and only uncovered to wax again occasionally.

I’m looking to buy a 1981 FLH 80 and read engine vibe starts at 70 mph. I may go 60-70 and read no engine vibe at those speeds. Owner of bike here hasn’t rode it on highway due not being able to pass the computer learners test. He is a friend of a friend and he is honest yet I don’t know anyone personally that can tell me about vibration at highway speeds. Friends we ride with often are riding in 60-70 mph range.

Is there a difference in model with having the single tank or the two tanks with the cluster on the tank?? Looking for information this matches my bike except I have the side by side tanks

That would look really good with drag bars but looks good now too I just come old school when you put apes on a swing arm was not a thing comfort wasn’t cool back then

Back in '82, some laughed when they watched my motor dancing in the rubber mounts at idle. They had no clue how good it was to ride.

I bought new in 1982, and still own my fxr (fxr model came with spoke wheels)It has always been my favorite harley

Nice.... First thing I think of when I hear the classic potato idle is how bad is oil circulation. But hey... potato potato twist in a blirp or two and get that head lubed up.

My dream bike from when I was a kid daydreaming in school.

I own a 1976 H D Bicentennial F X E Shovelhead just like the one in the picture, just after my 21st. B- day still have it. Decal on the tank is faded but I love it along with its baby my 02 fat boy .

I'd put elec. ignition on it and an oil cooler -- that's it! The tank decals tended to fade, this one's been kept inside, that's for sure. Very nice.
